Papercraft Final Post

Due to current events the rest of the semester in the class has been cut short. At the current time, I will not be able to finish my papercraft project. I did have quite a good time working on this project and would like to attempt to produce a final version of what I have envisioned. I did learn a number of important lessons while I was working.

As seen in the pictures above I was not a decent way thought my final prototype. The first mistake I made was the print of the main body of the ds it is backwards. This will probably make me remember to invert my design before printing if I attempt it in the future. Another mistake was making some connections too small this lead to the model breaking and overall giving it a not too appealing look. This mistake was from Rhino where I thought just because it works there it would work on paper; another aspect to it was me not taking into consideration the size of the cut itself.

I did, however, really enjoy the size of the prototype. it was really close to the real thing. the buttons on my prototype I feel are also really well made. I enjoy making and learning this project and I hope I get to finish it in the future. If the opportunity does appear I know I am all ready because of the tweaks I made in rhino to improve the model, they are ready to just print.
